Students and their families who desire to enroll in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Detroit understand that a Catholic school is a center of evangelization and exists to provide an excellent academic education and formation founded upon the morals, teachings, and practices of the Catholic Church. A student may not be admitted to a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Detroit if their conduct (or the conduct of a family member) is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church and poses a threat to the moral integrity of the Catholic school community.
The dismissal of a student or family from a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Detroit may occur when the conduct of a student or family member of a student is contrary to the teachings of the Catholic Church and constitutes a threat to the physical welfare or moral integrity of the Catholic school community or compromises the school’s ability to educate and form students according to its mission. In all contexts, Catholic charity must be demonstrated.
We are excited to begin the educational journey with you and your child! The Pre-Kindergarten through Kindergarten years are precious ones as children learn the fundamentals of school which are appropriate for each level. Our team of early childhood teachers delight in the joy of working with children and are attentive to the needs of each individual student. You can expect them to help students reach those developmental milestones as well as use best practices for instruction academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally.

All students will be administered a Kindergarten readiness assessment 2nd semester to help determine placement into the Young 5’s or Kindergarten programs.
For placement into the Young 5’s or Kindergarten program, we follow the State recommended ages for those grade levels. In addition, a readiness test is administered to all students in our 4 year old program and to those seeking admissions to a Young 5’s or Kindergarten placement. The developmental readiness assessment helps our early childhood educational team determine the appropriate placement for your child. Attentive to the needs of each child, teachers will discuss assessment results and placement recommendations with parents.
