CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD

As part of our strategic plan to live our mission of offering life-changing encounters with Jesus and equipping leaders to transform the culture, our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a hands-on and Montessori-based approach to faith formation. It is designed to deepen the child’s existing relationship with God, encourage formation of a personal prayer life, enable fuller participation in liturgical and sacramental life of the Church, and develop a deeper understanding of Catholic identity and tradition. TESTIMONIALS

Here are some reactions from our Pre-Kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade students after visiting the Atrium.

“I love going to the Atrium – we can learn about Jesus and it’s so beautiful there” – Sarah – Grade 4

“The Holy Spirit has visited the Atrium twice once with a light on the ceiling and another with a bright light on a candle.” – Evan – Grade 4

“We are so grateful for Mrs. Gaylord and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program. Mrs. Gaylord is incredibly kind, joyful, and faith filled. She has gone above and beyond to give our children a truly tangible witness of our Catholic faith. The Atrium makes the children’s faith come alive. The Atrium is filled with real symbols of our faith, brought to life in a way that the children can engage at their particular level. It is a meeting place where Christ the Shepherd meets His children just as they are, in a way that they can understand Him just as He is.”
