In alignment with Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order issued this morning,  OLGC will extend the timeline for the suspension of our normal operations through the end of the school year. OLGC Parish School is committed to maintaining distance learning instruction through the academic year.  Our teachers are offering meaningful instruction which will count toward our instructional requirements and the education of our students will continue.  Our commitment to academic excellence during this challenging time communicates the great value we offer at OLGC.  Our school stands apart from other schools in our community and beyond.  Please see the latest communication from our superintendent, Kevin Kijewski.

I am proud to serve alongside the most incredible team of educators.  Our teachers’ extraordinary efforts during this challenging time is a testament to their willingness to serve your families no matter the enormous measures.  We are dedicated to our school mission to offer a life-changing encounter with Jesus- even if it means remotely.  We care deeply about your family and are ready to support your needs to the very best of our ability.  We pray that your child’s distance learning experience has provided meaningful opportunities for your child to continue learning and growing academically as well as in our faith.

The following digital platforms will be used for daily learning:  Pre-K and Kindergarten- Class Dojo, Grades 1-3- Gradelink Announcement Page, Grades 4-8- Google Classroom.  Students will be receiving regular communication and feedback from their teachers.  Teachers will be working remotely from 9 AM to 3 PM and can be reached via email.  All families received login information for IXL, a comprehensive math review site, Raz Kids (K-2), and Google Classroom login information (4-8).  Please contact your child’s teacher if you are in need of this information.

May the Lord be with your family and provide protection during this time. Your family remains in the prayers of the OLGC school team.  Know that while we may be remote, no distance will separate our team from serving and supporting your needs.  We are ONE family.  Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Hunt or your child’s teacher if you have any questions, concerns, or specific prayer intentions.
