Admission Process

Welcome to Our Lady of Good Counsel!

We know the importance of finding a school you can call home. At OLGC, we are one family, a Christian community committed to raising our children together in faith. Throughout the application process, we look forward to learning more about your family and having you learn about ours!

STEP ONE: INQUIRE

Get to know us!

  1. Review our Admissions Requirements
  2. Check out our enrollment discernment points to see if we are the right fit for your family.

Enrollment Discernment for Families

Help us get to know you!

OLGC invites you to fill out an inquiry form so we may learn more about your family! Following the completion of the form, the Admissions Department will contact your family to answer any questions.

STEP TWO: TOUR OLGC

The best way to understand the value of a Catholic education is to experience our school first hand. Families are invited to visit OLGC for a tour during the school day which will be coordinated by invitation only through the Admissions Department.

Before we meet you in person, you can also take a virtual tour.

STEP THREE: SPEND THE DAY WITH US!

For Students Entering Young 5's and Kindergarten: All prospective Y5 and Kindergarten students who have not completed OLGC's PreK Program must be assessed by a Kindergarten Teacher prior to admission to OLGC. This 30 minute assessment will be arranged by the Admissions Director.

For Students Entering 1st-3rd Grade: You and your child will be invited to attend a Meet & Greet Session with one of our Learning Support Teachers. This 60 minute meeting will allow us to work with your child on assessments and answer questions parents may have about their child's readiness for OLGC.

For Students Entering 4th-8th Grade: Your child will be invited to experience a day as an OLGC Crusader! Shadow Day will allow us to get to know your child better and for you to assess if OLGC Parish School feels like a good fit for your family. Testing and assessments will be administered by our Learning Support Team throughout the day.

STEP FOUR: SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

Applications will be available on the website in early January.

We look forward to meeting you!
